Previously, the #1 Online Socialization Forum was held at the end of March which outlined the results of the visit and research of the BJ XVI curator team with artists, communities, and art performers in several eastern Indonesia.

Furthermore, in this Public Discussion Forum #2, we invited art practice who had activities with the art community in the region that the BJ XVI Curator team had visited. Biennale Jogja feels it is important to bring speakers from eastern Indonesia, to be able to explore the perspective of Oceania culture from Indonesia’s own home.

This forum is expected to be a space to share knowledge and experiences regarding cultural links between Indonesia and Oceania, how art actors activate various activities in the art community, how these art activities can contribute to socio-cultural issues and their relationship with the local population.
