After undergoing a residency program for approximately two weeks in Eastern Indonesia, artists Dyah Retno and Arief Budiman will share their discoveries, experiences and stories during the program.
The residency program that placed Dyah Retno in Mollo, Kupang, NTT was used by Dyah as an opportunity to explore the development of materials in the production of works as well as explore social issues, traditions, and cultural values to enrich the appreciation of conceptions.
Meanwhile, the residency program that placed Arief Budiman in Jayapura was used by Arief as an opportunity to discover the truths that he had only been able to hear through solidarity networks.
Then how are the interactions and discoveries of Dyah and Arief in their respective residency region? How is Dyah’s material adaptation or what is Arief’s story about art as a form of propaganda’s media?
