This talk will present three artists involving in the exhibition to share their ideas and process in making the works they made for the show, so the audience can have better understanding of their artistic practices, and in particular, towards the issues they discussed in the art works.
Agnes Christina discusses her experience of becoming minority group and how this sensitive racial issue had increased her fear and trauma as a woman, and how the art works represent the narrative and stories.
Etza Meisyara’s work depicts the myths and history of women’s role in everyday life of farmer’s life and culture, where they had important contribution not only in nurturing the land and plants, but also in keeping the local knowledge alive in their community.
Sao sreymao’s digital drawings come from her encounters with women who live surround her and they experienced difficulties and harassment in the public space of Pnomh Penh city.
